2014 Books...

Alright,
So I have been on a mission to read more this year. Which, considering the amount of 'free time' that I have, is something that could be a great feat. However, I have found a way to 'read' that satisfies my desire, when I can not actually dedicate time to a paper book; that being audio books to and from work (30-35 minutes each way). Thus I get about an hour of 'reading' in a day while driving.

Mind you this list is exempt of the 2 different 500+ page text books I have already read this year for school (delightful reading, might I add *snicker)

Completed Reads:
1. Divergent - Veronica Roth
2. Insurgent - Veronica Roth
(I haven't read the third one because the Mr. actually started the series and then I lapped him, and got upset that I was stealing his books, so I paused and he has not caught up yet)
3. A Change of Fortune - Jen Turano
4. Wild - Cheryl Strayed

Completed Audio 'Reads':
1. Unbroken - Laura Hillenbrand (honestly do not think I would have made it far enough in the book to  keep reading, but the its a good one, just a slow start, and so listening was great)
2. Ultramarathon Man: Confessions of an all-night runner - Dean Karnazes
3. Lean In:Women, Work, and the Will to Lead - Sheryl Sandberg (honestly this one kinda drove me up a wall - either because of her voice, of the fact that it seems like one long tangent; none the less I finished it)
4. The Giver - Lois Lowry (a classic)
(I honestly think there is one more, but I can not for the life of me figure out what it was right now)

Started but didn't finish:
1. Gone Girl - Gillian Flynn - (had a hold on it and could not renew)
2. Women Who Don't Wait in Line - Reshma Saujani (while its purpose is to focus on achieving great career goals and not settling to 'pay your dues' it is deeply rooted in just telling her store of her political career, rather than so much applicable to anyone; I didn't even know she was a politician when I grabbed the book from the New shelf)
3. Making Masterpiece - Rebecca Eaton (the store of masterpiece theatre being created, I started to read it and just ran out of time before it was due, however they came out with the audio book for it, which I have ready to go soon after finishing the ones I am listening to currently).

Current reads:
1. The Body Book: The law of Hunger, the Science of Strength, and Other Ways to Love Your Amazing Body. - Cameron Diaz (actually a pretty decent written book thats factual but done in a approachable, logical, applicable manor so far)

Currently listening to:
2. Entre-leadership - Dave Ramsey

Enough for now, back to reading for Marketing Management (so much better than finance... as of now anyways)

Have a lovely day
