thankful for....

ok so i'm going to be brutelly honest, I am in the pits. I am lonely... not because I don't have people around, but because the Mr. is 3,000 miles away and misses me tons... thus I have to be strong, and supportive and happy and loving. Its harder than you'd think.

Soooo Friday Five is hard right now... mentally I know its the end of the month, every new line counts for another multiplier basically, I just had two days off... but I feel like calling in sick... making cards that need to be positive and happy (along with a sympathy card I need to make, a congrats and a thank you... all way past due), which seems not fun either... but I know I can't... that its kinda shooting myself in the foot... and won't make me feel better, in fact may make me feel worse.

Tomorrows Saturday... I hope its busy, like busy how its been the rest of this month... hopefully with new lines, that aren't Iphone5's, I know it'll make me money when they hit next month, or in November... but right now I need a few more for September...

Anyhow, that makes sense to, oh, one of you....

now on with the thankful fors'... which lets be honest, even if I am not in the best mood I should find something to be thankful for, maybe it will even help.

1. Thankful for Ruby... honestly, the best company at home I can ask for.

2. Unlimited minutes, because although the husband doesn't talk a ton, I can talk with him, my mom, his mom, and the sisters/friends, and anyone else my heart desires without giving a care in the world

3. The humbling sense of honesty, integrity and lack of greed.... there are too many people I work with that lack these qualities, and are so self focused and it's sad... help your co-workers get a freakin' paycheck, instead of hoping to get paid more than you are already racking in... it won't kill you.

4. A clean bath tube drain.. why did I not pull the thing apart and clean in when it first started to slow down draining I don't know. But now I feel so clean and accomplished... dork I know...

5. Pinterest... although I am lonely and starting to need to figure out other things to distract me... you do a great job of fueling projects and food (If I could only eat as fast as the meals I would like to make...)

whew... that was tough, honestly... there are so many things (small things, things I can not do anything about) that I am upset about or annoyed about... but that doesn't help me... this in some small way may... ehhh...

have  a wonderful weekend

Thankful for...

Today may be skewed slightly by a 12 1/2 hour work day and the launch of the iPhone 5.... Just saying.

1. Thankful for the excitement of people that decide to move to smart phones on their own after owning the same basic phone for 6 + years, and think its "magical" because honestly after 10 hours of hype, these easy going decently tech savvy but easily impressed customers were wonderful. (Grant it... I am sorta impressed with the iphone5 and sorta want one,.... Even though I can't have one til like... My birthday bc of my job...( my birthday is in may : P) )

2. A glass of wine, and the fact that half if it as enough for this Irish light weight... (Yes I finally admit it)

3. Candy corn salt water taffy, I swear I thought the only place I could get it was knotts berry farm... No folks, Fred Meyers has it! I may turn into a giant piece by Halloween, just so you know...

4. Csr's who did all the phone book transfers yesterday morning.... The most irritating disgruntle machine in the Verizon store to me in times of high stress.... (Funny parent is they all got a $25 recognizing you aka-gift card to their choice in stores and I have yet to ever receive one....so ironic)

5. Coffee.. Because let's be honest, yesterday's 7:30 report time, and tomorrow and Mondays similar report time for running workshop classes is going to seem freakin' early. And coffee is delicious, and I'm shad of everyone and already digging into the peppermint mochas.... Although I know I can get them year round, which the majority of the population doesn't.... Again the irony of marketing and seasonal demands.

Enjoy your weekend... It's finally fall here... I can see my breathe in the am when I take the dog out and there is dew O the grass, bring on scarfs, headbands and stylis? Ok... Time for a weekend when I put stylis in there.

Tuesday ten?

Ok so I missed a week or two, so in an effort to redeem myself, we have a Tuesday ten...

1. Thankful for Portland, until traveling across country by car I did not truly appreciate the proximity to coffee and local beer ( more the coffee aspect) that Portland provides, well the west coast for that matter.

2. Family, because that made the road trip much more fun and enjoyable.

3. Weekends.... I have rediscovered what can be done and enjoyed in two consecutive days off..mits unbelievable... And I truly have no clue when I last had two days at home.

4. National parks, such wonderful gems of this country where preserved and protected.

5. Cameras - captured such wonderful shots during our trip ( of course the camera and the iPad and google are at war so getting you a preview is proving to be difficult currently )

6. Fruit....dried fruit such as apples.. Are amazing

7. Phones, I realize how few people iLife close to, but the phone lets me reach those I wish I lived next to... And my husband.... I couldn't imagine not being able to talk to him daily right now

8. Ruby, honestly this house was empty without her, and I missed her lots when Kristopher had her.

9. Pinterest, you provide me with too many activities and crafts to do, but some are ingenious and wonderful

10. My husband, although I knew this first year was going to be tough ( and probably tougher then many marriages first year) the first 3 1/2 months have been crazy, unexpected, and demanding in so many ways, but upon this we are building a strong foundation and continue to push on... But I can say I can not wait until we are in the same state again (let alone time zone!)

Friday Five

here we go, this week has been busy!

1. Thankful for my husband being the one driving when we ran out of gas in my car, bc I kept telling him we would need gas soon... (btw when my car is out, it truly is OUT, no kick start to get to the gas station, its done). : )

2. Thankful for sales... and discovering the biggest fabric store I have ever been in, and them having a big big sale at the same time. I got sooo much fabric, we are talking enough to last me, well a long while.

3. A caring husband that worries about me when he hasn't heard from me in the evening, and gets in a fuss when I finally do call, because I should of told him where I was going and who I was meeting.. you know, in case they were creeps or something.

4. An aunt that found me a vet for Ruby to see in Ohio, so that she can fly back to Oregon after our road trip.

5. A company that gives me enough personal time/vacation time to get married, have 2 family emergencies, time off to go to a wedding, and still have enough to take a week off to drive with my husband across the country for 9 days.... that is something not all companies do.

On that note, Kristopher, Ruby Anne, and myself will be partaking in the cross country road trip beginning today...

it shall be a wonderful epic adventure, as I will be going to a whole bunch of new states and places. Dont you worry, I am going to bring the real fancy Canon camera along for the ride, and hoping to make check in videos each day... we will see how that goes... I had a friend do it, but she was driving with her father, and they were a funny duo.. we will see how entertaining the 2 1/2 of us are in the car...

Have a wonderful labor day weekend everyone!

Late Friday five

I thought about it about 10 times on Friday, and never got to it.... Anywho...

1. Thankful for weekends, this week I got to spend 6 nights with the husband... Between his weekend and coming down and me going up on mine, it was nice.

2. A husband that's willing to put in the work, it means the world and gives me so much faith and love and confidence in our relationship continuing to grow, even though it's been a few hell of a months already being married, and this year is going to continue to be a touchy.

3. Karma,  work hard, continue to be a good, honest  person, and good things will happen for you.

4. Self reflection, and the ability to figure out why things didn't work and how to improve them.

5. New running shoes, my knees thank you and my energy level and jeans do as well ; )

late thanks

Friday thanks got forgotten...
Whoops

This week I am thankful for,

1. A husband that came down to visit, even a day early, because he could hear in my voice that I needed him to be here, for no other reason, then to be here.

2. Insurance, trip 3 to the dr coming out with another prescription and a referral to a dermatologist are made possible by insurance, along with the eye appointment I have for later today.

3. Encourage and helpful co-workers and bosses, that make my job achievable, exciting, and enjoyable, even when customers are not listening to what you are saying.

4. emotions, I feel like people try and hide them all the time, but truly, in times of wonderment (I may have just made that work up) it shows you whats real and meaningful and whats not.

5. The warm fuzzy feeling when you truly give to someone because you feel and know they deserve it,  and for no other reason. Then the look of shock and speechlessness when you tell them what you are going to do/did do for them, solidify they are gratefully for it (not feeling entitled) and it was the right person to do it for.... thats how my work day ended yesterday : )

Friday 5

Soooo here we go....

1. I am thankful that I am actually able to stick to this thing for 3 weeks in a row, to remember to post on friday, to reflect and be thankful.

2. I am thankful for my coaches at work, that believe in me, and have helped me succeed and adjust in the process of being promoted and thrown to the wolves of commissioned sales successfully. Today was a great day, and I do owe a good portion of it to them.

3. My co workers, continue to support and make me laugh, even when I ask them 5, 039820394820 questions.

4. New running clothes/work out clothes... although a terrible idea to even go looking, they sure make my spirits lift and motivate me to wear them more... which I am hoping translates into running more (side note, I need a running buddy, I know I need to be held accountable, and right now... well frankly I am not.. so I am failing at convincing myself to get out the door)

5. Good old fashion maps and atlas', I tell you what, I may sell technology that makes navigation easier and quicker... but there is nothing like looking at a map and figuring out the best route to go in a good paper copy atlas.... I am getting ever so excited about mine and Kristopher's Road trip across the country in a few week when I was looking at different ways to get to yellowstone!

(If I have not mentioned this yet, I am driving with Kristopher across the country to Ft. Lee Virginia, where he will have training through February, and then flying back the first week of september)
