I splurged as far as thrift stores are concerned... putting out 9.00 dollars for it.... but its a wonderful craftmanship piece. And I made up for it finding these .50no name jeans that don't look half bad for normal run around days:
a few cheap belts:
I go back to work, getting through the afternoon and get the best email I have gotten in awhile. I had 1 interview last spring with a company in Irvine. Not my ideal location, but an amazing job and opportunity and closer to family and friends. They did not end up hiring anyone, and told me to keep in touch, but that they didn't think they would be hiring for a year or so.
I had emailed him a month ago when I got back from my trip home, and he finally got back to me thursday... he called friday, wanted to know what my plans where, because he thinks they may have a position come available some time in the near future : )))))))))!!!!!!
So we will see where that takes me, it would be a great great job, a wonderful company to work for, close to family, friends, airports with cheap flights to the bay area : ) and with better pay.
Cross your fingers and hold your breathe... good things soon hopefully
Saturday, I had to get out and run, as I sent off my registration for my 1/2 marathon on May 2nd... seriously only a few weeks away?!?!... going to be a push... but wasn't able to get my runs in last week after getting back from the mountain. So I went out for 6 miles, probably could of done 8 but was just feeling tired.
Sunday got back out to run, I woke up feeling tired, heavy legs and all... barely made it 6 miles, and I am starting to think I have runners knee in my right knee... I am sure it is because of my irregular running training pattern, so I took today off (already in the plan) and will try and focus a few more of my weekly runs on dirt instead of on the road and getting on a 6 days a week schedule, and making sure I stretch.
After I ran, I think I really became brain-dead.... I seriously didn't do anything the rest of the day that I should have done... I didn't comment on posts for my online class, I didn't do the sketch for my monday evening class, I didn't do laundry. I sat in front of the TV and watched 4 days of Olympics to catch up on the events... and practiced knitting stitches... I am learning to knit. I crochet, but never knit. Hopefully soon I will catch on and making hats and fancy things... I also need to take the time to learn the name of crocheting stitches and learn to read patterns, I am sure my skills would go up like crazy if I did this, I am too impatient. (Working on a tunnel scarf to show up in pictures soon I am sure)
Exciting about the job post! Keep me in the loop! Fingers are crossed!
