I'm locked in

Well, I did it. I signed up for my first marathon... Yes, Heather is going to finally get back into this running with a purpose, goal, and motivation again. No more of this I use to be a runner, I use to run long runs and enjoy them... I am doing it again.... And I have paid and signed up for a pretty tough 26.2 miles (I still think its funny people like me pay to do insane things to our body... but at least its a healthy thing to pay to do, right?) Anyways... I will be running the SF Marathon on July 25th... I have toyed with raising money while training for it for St. Jude a organization dear to my heart. However, I hope I am not being selfish in saying I need to do this one for me... If I do another one, I can then hope to do it for them, but I need to prove this one to myself.
I am however raising money training. A friends uncle started up this website/organization www.plus3network.com And basically you raise money by being active... you long your miles, hours, etc of any type of activity you do, from running(road or trail) skateboarding, snowboarding, lifting weights, hike, whatever, and you pick a participating organization and you raise money each time you run. Each time may not be a whole lot, but think about if you put it all in there, it would add up, and all you have to do is log in, you don't pay anything out of your pocket, you don't have to promise to raise any certain amount... what is the downside to this? plus it makes you feel a little bit better each time you workout... can I hear motivation bonus!
I will be running the Avenue of the Giants half marathon on the way to my full. The half is the 2nd of May, a good middle ground, that will be a nice progress report on the way to the full. Both are hilly courses, and both will be a big accomplishment, but I can do it, and I am going to do it...
until then, I will continue to run and run and run, and look cute during my day job.(see below)(ps-really digging the skinny jeans, and didn't think I was going to be a skinny jeans kinda girl, I do have a good amount of junk in the trunk, no matter how far I run)

Boots- Route 66
Jeans - Hand me overs (hand me downs from a friend)
White T-shirt - Papaya
Green Shirt Vesty thing - Cherish
White Sweater Vest - Second Hand
Location - my desk at work!

This is also another different days outfit, pretty much the same but I like this one better (and my hair looks a bit more redish in this overhead shot)

And a weekend day where I have all the time in the world to get ready and just enjoy it....
