ruffles

So here is the ruffle top, It is actually much longer, but I figured with this skirt, it works perfect to just tuck it in and pull out the top three ruffle tiers...

ended up wearing my long-sleeve black sweater with it (clutch item of course)

still have not gone back to get the shoes, the struggle is that it is not only in eureka, and I in Arcata, but its on the far end of eureka... i'm spoiled, its a 20 minute drive...

Got word of another planner friend getting laid off after 3 years at a company, a very small company (i think there are like 4 maybe 5 people on payroll) bummer to hear about regardless. The good news is he has 3 years of experience, and that will help alot. Wish the best for him.

I am starting to look at the LEED certification process. Leadership in energy efficient design (I believe) they just did an overhaul of the whole certification process, and now you have to maintain the certification, which is sorta a hassle, but logical with every other career certification out there. The problem I am having is selecting the focus area I want to test into, instead of being an over all certification, you now select a focus area.

The other part of the researching is that it cost 550 to take the test (with app fee) and i've been holding out on taking the test b/c some companies will pay for the test for you to take it (bragging rights for the company having like 90% of employees certified) I know I could inquire about it here, but I feel bad for the fact, that part of me taking it is so that I am more marketable and show more dedication and committment to what I want to do in the field... I think I might just print out the packet and have it on my desk, maybe my boss will notice it there and ask about it...

I am such a whimp. (that and I feel bad asking people for money, anyone really)

  1. Ask. You'll be more valuable for your company, even if you don't want to work there forever.

I hate asking for money too, but when money is tight... well, beggers can't be choosers.

And I love the blouse! Where did you get it?

  2. Kohls, its a Candies top, it was in the junior department. Thanks, I thought of you instantly when I saw it, debated trying it on, but went ahead, and I was sold... its a bit more "dressy" then the ones you had looked at, but still very very similar.
