I feel like a copy-cat..

But I am going to roll with it. I took a few different ideas from other bloggers today, and threw them together... Which I guess is part of the point for reading blogs, to find things, adapt them to something you put on, and grow "fashionably"... well I sorta forgot the adapt thing today, but "borrowing" is ok too, right?

I however, am much more excited about this outfit then I have for a few lately for two solid reasons... 1. The scarf as a belt addition, inspired by Paige over at Barefoot and Vintage. She pretty much incorporates a scarf into almost ever outfit she wears, and I seriously have a basket full of them that I haven't touched since March... terrible, so here we added one as a belt, lovin' it.

Also the necklace I finally am styling my own, after borrowing Kristens many times for outfits here and there. I am trying to be more of an accessory junky, I have things, I just don't wear them ever.

top - gift
skirt - love21, f21
scarf - gift, inspired use by Paige at Barefoot and vintage
watch - Citizen
multi-strand necklace - f21 inspired by Kristen at I was there
heels - Chinese Laundry

Such an impostor, aren't I?!?!?!

Item # 2 that I am just smitten with, if you haven't noticed above, is my hair...

This element I can attribute to the blog realm as well, since when I go to log in at Bloglovin' to check out all the updates on the blogs I follow, and who is following mine. I scroll through the main pages selected blog posts before logging in, and there seems to be a trend of snap shots of the Olsen sisters. I go back and forth if they look stylish, or thrown together, either way... it inspired me to try and braid my hair around.

I will admit, its not easy, and I have plenty of practice doing regular, french, fish tail, etc braids on mine, and others heads. I only had to start over once, as the first attempt looked like half of my head was a hot mess.
You however get pictures of the 2nd attempt that turned out well enough to spray down and last the day...

While not perfect, its pretty good for having short-ish hair right now, and not attempting to braid my own hair in over a year and a half.

Pretty fancy for a Friday and all, but comfy outfit, and hair pulled back... I miss my long hair, but the fact I pulled off this feat, makes me feel like its at least long enough to play with again : )
